Puggle (Pug x Beagle) Breed Information:
The Puggle is a mix between the Beagle and Pug breeds. He's become fairly popular, thanks to his fun-loving personality and cute looks. He gets along with kids and other dogs, and can make a great family companion.
They have the wrinkles of their Pug parents and the longer muzzle, ears, and tail of a Beagle — a look that draws comparisons to miniature Mastiffs. This unique appearance and his friendly nature has driven a rapid rise in popularity since the first Puggle was bred in the 1990s.
Height: 25-35cm, Weight: 5-10kg
Puggle Life Span:
Puggles are a playful, confident and happy breed. They tend to be friendly with other dogs and good with children, given they are properly socialised as a puppy. Outgoing and sure of themselves, Puggles are affectionate individuals with a strong personality. They can be stubborn and headstrong but are eager to please their owner so with positive reinforcement and treats they tend to be fast learners.
Puggles will require a brush once or twice a week. It is important to keep their nails trimmed to avoid impairing their walking ability, and to regularly check their eyes, ears and wrinkles to keep them clean and healthy.
Puggle Exercise Requirements:
Puggles will require a daily walk as well as play time at home to spend their energy and keep their weight in check.
