How it works

Three steps to the right size

Each step takes a minute or two — and once you've done it once, you'll never guess again.

Measure along the spine

Start at the base of the neck and finish at the base of the tail. This single number is what every size chart is built around.

Match to the size chart

Nine sizes from XXS to G, with example breeds and back-length ranges in centimetres for every shape of dog.

Check the body shape fit

Stocky, slim, deep-chested or fine-framed — a few extra checks that mean the coat actually sits right on your dog.

The #1 mistake

Most sizing errors come down to this

The most common mistake is choosing a size based on breed name alone - without ever getting the tape measure out. Size charts like ours are based on back length (measured along the spine from the base of the neck to the start of the tail), not breed.

A Staffy and a Greyhound might both be described as "medium dogs" - but they'll need completely different coats.

Our free guide covers the four most common sizing mistakes and exactly how to avoid them.
