Advocate Kittens and Small Cats up to 4kg 1pkNEW Single Dose Pack
Advocate for cats is the closest thing to a vaccine against Australia’s most common parasites. An easy-to-use spot-on, it is applied monthly. The super ingredients in Advocate provide fast relief from fleas, prevent deadly heartworm and protect both your cat and your family from most gastrointestinal worms.
Advocate creates a flea-free home fast. It stops fleas biting within 3 to 5 minutes, killing adult fleas and their larvae within 20 minutes – breaking the flea lifecycle. With monthly use it also protects your cat from the danger of heartworm infections.
Plus Advocate takes care of worming worries. It kills up to 100% of hookworm, roundworm and whip worm, and prevents reinfestation. It’s water-resistant and even prevents mites and lice. It all adds up to the most thorough parasite protection available for your cat.
Acts on adult fleas, flea larvae, heartworm, intestinal worms such as roundworm, hookworm and whipworm, ear mites, sarcoptic mange, demodicosis and lice.
Safe for kittens from 7 weeks.
Advocate Application Information - How to apply advocate to your cat.
1. Check the packaging to ensure you have the correct dose for your cat.
Prepare the dose.
Hold the individual Advocate dose upright so the slender end of the tube is at the top. This end is the applicator.
Pull the cap off the tube. Turn the cap upside down and place the other end over the seal at the top of the tube. Twist the cap to break the seal.
2. Position the cat in a standing position
Move your cat into a standing position and be sure it is standing still. Have a second person hold the cat, if necessary. A standing position will provide the best access to the area on the cat's skin where the Advocate treatment should be applied.
3. Part the cat's fur.
Locate the middle of the cat's back at the base of its neck between the shoulder blades. Use one hand to part the fur and expose the skin. This will help you get the Advocate on the cat's skin, not the fur.
4. Apply Advocate directly to the skin.
Place the open tip of the applicator on the exposed skin at the base of the neck.
Squeeze the applicator tube to release the whole dose onto the skin. Check that all medication has been expelled from the dose tube.
5. Avoid contact with the area.
Avoid touching the area behind the cat's neck where the Advocate has been applied for 24 hours after application. This will ensure proper absorption of the medication and prevent it from getting on hands or fingers.
6. Keep the cat dry for 24 hours.
Do not bathe the cat or allow the cat to get wet for 24 hours after applying Advocate to ensure full absorption of the treatment.
7. Apply Advocate regularly.
Advocate will work best to prevent fleas, flea eggs, heartworm and intestinatl worms when used once per month or according to your veterinarian's instructions.
