PET Adoption AT KELLYVILLE PETS

Have you considered adopting a pet?
Every creature great and small deserves a loving home, though many end up in shelters for various reasons such as the RSPCA, Animal Welfare League NSW, or many other organisations. Thanks to the commitment of AWL NSW and other rescue organisations, along with the support of the community, Kellyville Pets has successfully rehomed more than 1,260 rescue pets, which includes cats, dogs, rabbits and even pythons! That number is continually growing, and it is pleasing to see these beautiful animals be given a second chance at finding their forever homes.

AWL NSW cat and kitten adoption day

Sunday, March 19 2023

10am - 2pm

About the event

Together with AWL NSW, Kellyville Pets will be holding an adoption day in-store. Our adoption day will be held within the Pet School training room, located upstairs inside Kellyville Pets. Please note, this room is accessable via staircase only.

There will be AWL staff and volunteers available on the day to guide you, answer any questions and provide information on the adoption process and paperwork. The Kellyville Pets team will also be available to assist in spoiling your new cat or kitten with the essential items to take home on the day. We cannot wait to find these beautiful, energetic, fun‐loving kittens and cats their new families and fur‐ever homes.

OUR RESCUE PARTNERS

AWL NSW

With several successful adoption days under our belt, Kellyville Pets are proud to continue working with the Animal Welfare League NSW, a registered charity that has been caring for surrendered, neglected and abandoned animals for over 55 years. So much so, that together we have established our ‘Pet Adoption’ program which rehomes rescue cats, dogs and many other animals to loving forever families. Our adoption days bring the opportunity for people to meet rescue animals available via AWL NSW that would normally only be seen at their shelter.

Greyhounds As Pets (GAP)

Greyhounds As Pets is a not-for-profit organisation that re-homes retired race dogs via a 6-step program that matches pet owners with a greyhound suitable to their lifestyle. In the past Kellyville Pets have held meet and greets, allowing people to interact with the greyhounds and learn more about them, with the potential to adopt. Dogs accepted into Greyhounds As Pets are first checked by a veterinarian and behaviourally assessed for suitability as a pet. They are then settled into pet life through a 6 week foster care program, where they learn house manners including toilet training. Greyhounds are then ready to be placed into loving homes.

 Central Coast Herpetological Society

In collaboration with Central Coast Herpetological Society, Wildlife ARC and the Office of Environment & Heritage, Kellyville Pets has hosted a Reptile Rescue Day for surrendered reptiles and escaped pets that require new forever homes.
