Schnoodle Temperament
Schnoodles are known to be a happy, loyal and playful breed. They are an intelligent dog with an affectionate, outgoing and cheery personality making them great for families with children and they generally get along well with other dogs, given they have been well socialised as a puppy.
They loved to be involved in all family activities, whether its playing in the backyard or curling up for a movie. They are also one of the few hypoallergenic breeds making them the perfect companion for people with allergies or asthma.
Schnoodle Health Issues
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA): A group of retinal degeneration diseases that worsens over time and can lead to impaired vision or even blindness.
Patella Luxation: An abnormally shallow groove in the knee, which causes the knee cap (patella) to slip out of position.
Dry/Itchy Skin: Some dogs, especially those with a shorter coat, can be prone to dry, flaky and itchy skin. This can be helped by using an oatmeal based shampoo and conditioner. If this continues to occur it could be related to a food allergy or parasite, and should be seen by a vet.
