The 8–16 week window is when your puppy's brain is wired for socialisation — and the habits they form now will stick for life. Our four-week course covers sit, drop, recall, lead manners, bite inhibition, and the human stuff: vet visits, handling, kids, doorbells.

Before you book

Pet School FAQ.

  • What vaccinations does my dog need?

For Puppy Preschool, your puppy needs to have had their first C3 vaccination at least 7 days before Week 1. For all other classes, your dog needs to be fully vaccinated (C3 or C5) and current on heartworm and intestinal worming. We'll ask to see your vet certificate at Week 1.

  • Can I bring my kids to class?

Yes, with one caveat: no children under 5, and a maximum of two people per dog. Training works best when one person is leading and the rest are observing.

  • What should I bring on Week 1?

A flat collar or harness (no choke chains, prong collars, or retractable leads), a 1.2m–1.8m lead, a small mat or towel, plenty of high-value training treats, and your vaccination certificate.

  • What's your refund policy?

Bookings are non-refundable but transferable. If you can't make the start date, we can move you to the next class or you can transfer your spot to a friend. Email us at least 48 hours before the start of Week 1.

  • My dog is reactive or nervous around other dogs. Is class still okay?

Often yes, but call us first. For reactive or anxious dogs we sometimes recommend Scent School before trying a group obedience class. We'll give you an honest answer.

  • Where exactly is the training room?

Inside our Beaumont Hills store at 1–15 Millcroft Way - about 15 minutes from Castle Hill. Free parking on site. The room is indoors and air-conditioned, but only accessible via stairs

  • How big are the classes?

Maximum 5 dogs per class. Bigger groups mean less attention for your dog and your questions, and more chance of a young pup getting overwhelmed.

Not sure which class is right for your dog?

Call us, drop in, or email — Donna or one of the team will point you to the right starting point. No pressure, no hard sell.
