Thinning Scissors are used to thin out and blend thick volume hair. They work by cutting a small amount of hair with each scissor stroke. It is important when using Thinning Scissors to check the lie of the hair before thinning, to ensure an even look. Hair should be dry for optimal results.
Once you have determined where the volume hair needs to be thinned out, cut small lengths of hair to reduce the hair weight and volume in the area selected.
It is important to tether and reassure your dog when trimming, being extra careful around your dog’s eyes, ears and paws to avoid injury.
Avoid excessive pulling as this may cause stress and discomfort.
