AWL Rescue Cats

Have you considered adopting a pet?

Animals end up in shelters such as the Animal Welfare league for a number of reasons. The Animal Welfare League operates three shelters in NSW, and has a dedicated team of inspectors whose priority is to ensure satisfactory care of all animals across the state, whilst providing a temporary abode to those who are looking for new forever homes.

Animal Welfare League NSW is a proud participant in the “Getting to Zero” campaign, which aims to decrease the percentage of euthanised healthy or treatable dogs and cats in the community. Latest statistics show that rates have dropped as low as 4%.

In partnership with AWL NSW, Kellyville Pets is committed to finding the most suitable home for all animals, both young and old, and drop this statistic even further. Thanks to the commitment of AWL staff, and the support of the community, Kellyville Pets has successfully re-homed over 200 cats and a number of rabbits and guinea pigs! That number is continually growing, and it is pleasing to see these beautiful animals be given a second chance at finding their forever home.

Not only has our store been custom built to meet Animal Welfare League minimum standards for our animal enclosures, we also play a pivotal role in rehoming rescue cats and kittens through our "Purrfect Partner" program.

In January 2011, Kellyville Pets and the Animal Welfare League NSW established our "Purrfect Partner" program to offer much needed assistance in rehoming surrendered, neglected and abandoned cats and kittens.

We have already now rehomed 203 Animal Welfare League rescue cats and kittens! Thank you to all our adoptors who have helped us reach this amazing milestone.

Can you help us give these beautiful animals a second chance in life?
