Panicum Millet

Millet sprays are a versatile treat, suitable for all seed eating birds.

Commonly found in seed mixes, panicum is a healthier alternative to seeds such as sunflower. Due to their lower fat content, they can be offered to your companion birds daily and despite being present in their everyday seed, many birds will still be excited to receive their spray millet.

Compared to husked seed, sprays have undergone less processing and birds enjoy the challenge of removing the millet from the husks themselves. This provides mental enrichment, reducing stress and enabling birds to perform natural behaviours.

Sprays can be presented to your bird by attaching to their cage with cage clips or cuttlebone holders. Best placed at perch height, positioning them in varying spots around their enclosure will encourage them to exercise and further explore their surroundings.

From canaries to black cockatoos, birds of all sizes will enjoy foraging through their millet sprays! Panicum is softer than other millet varieties and is especially recommended for finches and waxbills.
