Pugalier
Pugalier Breed Information:
A Pugalier makes a great companion dog ideally suited for small dwellings or even apartments. These dogs don’t require extensive walks or daily exercise programs. They will simply receive sufficient exercise in their day to day activities. If you live in the warmer zones of Australia, consider a Pugalier over a pure bred pug, it may be more suited to the hotter temperatures.
Pugalier Size:
Height: 25-35cm, Weight: 5-10kg
Pugalier Life Span:
12-15 years
Pugalier Temperament:
Pugaliers are a playful, confident and happy breed. They tend to be friendly with other dogs and good with children, given they are properly socialised as a puppy. Outgoing and sure of themselves, Pugaliers are affectionate individuals with a strong personality. They can be stubborn and headstrong but are eager to please their owner so with positive reinforcement and treats they tend to be fast learners.
Pugalier Grooming:
Pugaliers will require a brush once or twice a week. It is important to keep their nails trimmed to avoid impairing their walking ability, and to regularly check their eyes, ears and wrinkles to keep them clean and healthy.
Pugalier Exercise Requirements:
As both Pugs and Cavaliers are know for having weight problems it is best to get into a good exercise routine for your Pugalier. A daily walk as well as play time at home is generally sufficient.
