D'Nutrical, formulated by avian veterinarians, is a maintenance and breeding season supplement. It is particularly useful for calcium supplementation in breeding birds and growing chicks.
Symptoms of vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies include mouth plaques, abscesses, sneezing, tail-bobbing, wheezing, lethargy, nasal discharge, crusty nostrils, depression, diarrhea, feather discolouration, swollen eyes or ocular discharge, weight loss.
More severe deficiencies can result in nutrition related diseases such as musculoskeletal disease, cardiac disease, reproductive issues, hypovitaminosis, iron storage disease and hepatic lipidosis.
D'Nutrical is easily dusted onto food sources.
Directions: Use twice weekly for maintenance and daily during breeding.
Introducing D Nutrical: Start with a dose of 5g per kg of feed and gradually increase to 20g over 6 feeds.
Maintenance dose: Add 20g of D Nutrical per kg (1 oz per 3 lb) of food to boost active calcium levels.
