Central Bearded Dragons are the most common reptile pet in the world, due to their manageable size, ease of care and friendly, charismatic nature. They are a large member of Australia’s vast Dragon Lizard family, attaining lengths of up to 60cm.

Central Beardies are found throughout much of Australia’s semi-arid interior, from Western QLD and NSW all the a across to the red center.

They are a semi-arboreal species, often found perching atop fence posts, climbing trees or sunning themselves on large rocky outcrops. Therefore, it is important to allow them adequate climbing space inside their setup.

It is important that the enclosure has sufficient ventilation and a secure, lockable door. The enclosure should be furnished to mimic the animal’s natural environment by the use of a background, artificial plants, rock ornaments and timber branches for climbing and basking. An absorbent, naturalistic substrate such as desert sand is also important.

We have a great selection of various bearded dragons ranging from hatchlings through to juveniles and adults.

Hypomelanistic
Hypo bearded dragons lack dark pigment and display some amazing colours and patterns ranging from white to purple and even bright orange.

Leatherback
Leatherback bearded dragons have reduced scales giving them a smoother 'leathery' appearance.

Translucent
Translucent bearded dragons are amongst the most spectacular bearded dragon morphs available in Australia today. They display a range of vibrant colours including reds, yellows, oranges and even blues and purples.

Our dragon collection is always changing and fluctuates across the year as a reflection of their seasonal breeding cycles. We strive to always have a range of central bearded dragon morphs in-store but their availability is not guaranteed. Due to the natural diversity of this species, every animal is unique. Bearded dragons pictured are representative only and individuals may differ in appearance. The age, size and sex of our available dragons are also subject to change.
